The Vietnam War

Background

'The American War', when United States and Allied forces sought, for ten years, to prevent a communist take-over of South Vietnam in the wake of the country's partition in 1954. This map constitutes a shorthand visual history of the war from the United States' point of view. [National Library of Australia, MAP G8021.R1.
